In order to try out, you must submit a permission slip and a medical clearance form. The medical clearance form must be signed and stamped by a doctor. Permission slips can be printed from the schools athletics website, www.cathedralathletics.com, under the “Links/Forms” link. Anyone who does not have both of these forms will not be able to try out. There are absolutely no exceptions.



Anyone trying out must wear acceptable attire, including supportive sneakers. It is also recommended that you bring knee pads.

Only those who are trying out will be allowed in the gym. There will be no spectators allowed.



Those who make the team will have practice Wed., Thurs., and Fri., of that same week from 9 AM until 12 Noon. If you are selected to be a member of the team, you must be at all practices. 

The volleyball season lasts from that week until the first week of November. In that time, members of the team will be expected to attend each game and practice. This includes Monday thru Friday and some Saturdays. Those who make the team will be given a detailed schedule.
